I don't want to tell you this is my fav Mex place in the area. My girl and I love going here. She's addicted to the tamales now that I've introduced her. I recommend any flavor that's not cheese n jalapeno (because they're our fav). They have standard plates and usually great service. Of course we can't leave without grabbing a sucker on the way out. The parking lot is kinda trash though so drive slow
Was visiting from out of town and just Yelped ' mexican restaurant' and La Poblanita came up so I thought I'd give it a try. I was waited on within 2 min of sitting down and I ordered the Steak Fajitas. They came out sizzling hot less than 10 min later. I am always a little worried about the steak because you sometimes get sub-par meat but no worries here. Meat was tender and marinated to perfection. Had my choice of corn or flour tortillas. My server checked back with me multiple times and the atmosphere was great also. Highly recommend.
Been living in the south side of Charlotte since June of 2000. I've lost count of the number of times I've driving past this past without a second thought. This even I decided to look up a casual Mexican restaurant nearby and decided to finally give it a try. I've been missing out! Decor, the music, the vibes and staff are all fantastic. You know the employees are happy when they're singing/humming along with the playlist. Felt like I was in a 90's Bond film in Mexico. Loved the experience. Elotes has a unique sour twang to it compared to other places I've tried around town. Good thing. Would order again. Got the steak burrito and swapped out the roja for the cheese sauce instead. Filling and definitely hits the spot. Wifey got the shrimp fajita and that never disappoints. Overall great spot and now on my come back to list.
Double date with some friends. Wonderful time! Our server was attentive but not obnoxiously so. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Will definitely return.
If you’re craving authentic, flavorful Mexican cuisine, this place is a must-visit. I’d give the pollo asada a solid 9/10 and the chicken fajita a perfect score ! Thanks to Louisa and the amazing kitchen team, this spot is now on our list of favorites.
Service is great by good looking and friendly waitresses, food is good but prices are the best, not expensive at all. I would recommend this place, at night, on the weekends, it becomes almost like a nightclub and they have new area open for late night on the weekends
The place was packed for lunch on a Wednesday, and rightfully so as the 9 specials are flavorful and great value for the folks out working and looking for some authentic Latin food. Make sure you ask for the extra complimentary sauces (3) as they don't always bring it out proactively - couple of them are really good and changes up your Chips & Salsa experience as you finish the basket! Chimichanga with Chipotle Chicken was good, I'll probably try it with the carnitas inside next time...
Delicious & great lunch specials!! They have 3 spicy salsas and all are great The regular salsa served with the chips is nice & blended which is my favorite. Thought the lettuce & avocado was a nice touch on top of my enchiladas My friend got a chimichanga & it looks pretty good too Would for sure come back!
